The Hoymiles LB-6D-G3 51.2V 314Ah 6.02kWh LiFePO4 Battery is a low-voltage residential energy storage solution designed for solar backup and energy storage applications. It combines LiFePO4 battery chemistry, integrated safety protection, flexible installation options and expandable capacity in a compact battery system.According to the Hoymiles datasheet, a single LB-6D-G3 provides 6.02kWh of total energy, with a rated voltage of 51.2V and a rated capacity of 314Ah. Up to 16 batteries can be connected in parallel, allowing the overall system capacity to expand to a maximum of 96.32kWh.One of the key features of the LB-6D-G3 is its built-in DC-DC module, which supports the mixed use of old and new batteries. This provides greater flexibility when expanding an existing battery bank at a later stage. The battery also incorporates an improved LFP safety design and optional low-temperature heating functionality.The battery supports a maximum continuous charging and discharging current of 60A and a peak charging/discharging current of 90A for 10 seconds. Hoymiles recommends a 90% depth of discharge, while CAN communication is provided for integration with compatible energy storage systems.Safety features include integrated overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature and undertemperature protection. Natural convection cooling provides passive thermal management without requiring active cooling fans.Hoymiles specifies a cycle life of 8000 cycles at 25°C and 0.5C, with 90% DOD and 70% EOL.
